The role involves maintaining academic excellence, implementing a cohesive curriculum that combines reading, writing, listening, and speaking programs, and supervising foreign teachers in their instructional duties. The position requires a proactive leader who can guide both teachers and students toward achieving and surpassing the school’s academic benchmarks. The Head of Academic Affairs will be responsible for routine quality assurance, including monthly lesson observations, thorough evaluations of student workbooks, and monitoring classroom engagement. Additional duties include organizing grade-level meetings with teachers, overseeing student assessments, and maintaining direct teaching contact by delivering at least one lesson per grade each term. Reporting will be a crucial part of the role, requiring weekly executive summaries, meeting minutes, end-of-term class summaries, and participation in termly performance reviews with the school’s management team. Beyond routine responsibilities, the role also includes ad hoc duties such as overseeing the Reading and Writing Program, providing mentorship to teachers needing support, and organizing professional development workshops to enhance teaching quality. Flexibility is required, as the Head of Academic Affairs may be assigned other duties to support the school’s overall academic mission. Sriwittayapaknam School is located in Samut Prakan, Thailand, just 30 kilometers south of Bangkok and easily accessible via the Paknam BTS Station. The school emphasizes a supportive teaching environment and a strong focus on academic quality.
