The PE Teacher position involves supporting students in developing physical fitness, maintaining well-being, and adopting active lifestyles. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective PE lessons that help students improve their physical abilities while encouraging teamwork, discipline, and positive attitudes toward sport and exercise. In this role, the teacher will work within an international school setting that values diversity and collaboration. The PE teacher will contribute to shaping and implementing the school’s physical education curriculum while helping students grow not only physically but also socially and emotionally. A major responsibility of the PE teacher is planning and delivering lessons that are suitable for students of different ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. Lessons should include a variety of sports, games, and activities that help students build movement skills, learn strategies, and understand the importance of fair play. The teacher will also promote important values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and discipline during all activities. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment, the PE teacher will help ensure that every student feels confident participating in physical activities. Developing a structured and progressive PE curriculum is another key part of the job. The teacher should use a range of teaching strategies and resources to keep lessons interesting while adjusting instruction to meet the needs of students with different learning styles and abilities. The role also includes promoting healthy lifestyles by educating students about physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being. Teachers will assess student progress, monitor their development, and provide constructive feedback that helps them improve their skills and confidence. Ensuring safety during all sports and physical activities is essential. The PE teacher must follow the school’s health and safety policies at all times and supervise extracurricular sports events, competitions, and tournaments that support student engagement beyond regular class time. Collaboration is an important part of this role. The teacher will work closely with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student development. Participation in meetings, school events, professional development programs, and parent-teacher conferences is also expected. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, with teaching certification preferred. Experience teaching in an international or multicultural environment is advantageous.
