This position focuses on providing academic and behavioural support to students across Key Stages 1, 2, and 3 in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work with individual students and small groups, helping learners overcome academic challenges and build confidence. The role places a strong emphasis on improving achievement in literacy, mathematics, and other core areas of learning. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering targeted intervention programs that address the specific needs of students requiring additional support. The teacher will also be responsible for adapting strategies to help pupils make meaningful academic progress. The role involves monitoring, assessing, and recording student development while evaluating the effectiveness of intervention programs. Regular communication with classroom teachers, parents, and the SENCO is essential to ensure each student's learning needs are effectively supported. In addition to academic intervention, the successful applicant will provide pastoral care and contribute to the overall well-being of students. Building positive relationships and creating a nurturing environment are important aspects of the position. Applicants should have proven experience supporting students with low attainment or specific learning needs, along with a strong understanding of the national curriculum across Key Stages 1, 2, or 3.
