The school is looking for a native Mandarin-speaking, enthusiastic, and experienced teacher to join its international secondary team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and motivating lessons that develop students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Mandarin. Key responsibilities include teaching Mandarin in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum and Thai Ministry of Education requirements, planning and delivering student-centred lessons, and using creative, interactive strategies to enhance language acquisition and exam readiness. Teachers are also responsible for preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and teaching resources, as well as maintaining accurate academic records using the school’s systems. The role also involves assessing student progress and providing timely, constructive feedback across all language skills. Teachers are expected to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, support students’ cultural understanding of Chinese society, prepare learners for external examinations, maintain a positive classroom environment, and communicate effectively with parents. Participation in extracurricular Mandarin activities, professional development, meetings, and whole-school events is also required. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mandarin, Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification. A Master’s degree is an advantage. Candidates must have at least two years of post-qualification teaching experience, with proven or demonstrated readiness to teach IGCSE, AS, and A Level Mandarin. Experience with Cambridge International programmes and international school environments is highly desirable. Essential requirements include being a native Mandarin speaker, possessing C1-level or higher English proficiency, strong subject knowledge, effective classroom and behaviour management skills, and excellent communication and organisational abilities.
