The Greenacre International School in Koh Samui, Surat Thani is looking for a full-time Thai Language Teacher to instruct students at the Foundation, Primary, and Secondary levels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Thai language, culture, and history, using age-appropriate methods in accordance with the school's regulations and curriculum. The role includes preparing lesson plans and maintaining accurate class records. The teacher will also participate in lesson observations and peer review sessions, as well as performing daily school duties as assigned. An essential part of the job is organizing Thai cultural events throughout the academic year, such as Loy Krathong, Father’s Day, and Songkran Day. Collaboration with the Thai department team is a key aspect of this position. The teacher will be expected to work creatively with colleagues and participate in both internal and external school activities. Additionally, a commitment to ongoing professional development is essential to ensure the teacher’s growth and effectiveness in the role. To qualify for this position, applicants should be proficient in English communication and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education (with a focus on Thai) or a related field. Recent graduates with a passion for teaching and self-improvement are also encouraged to apply. A valid teaching license is required. Experience in international schools or multicultural environments will be an advantage, as well as strong classroom management skills. The ideal candidate should also be able to develop instructional materials, both online and handmade, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
