Write or Paste Ad Udonthani International School (UDIS) is a co-educational day school that serves both expatriate families in Udonthani and Thai families who are looking for an international education for their children.

The school offers a broad and comprehensive curriculum, following the National Curriculum of England (NCE) and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), to students from the ages of 2 through 18.

UDIS is also an IB World School, fully authorised to deliver the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP), and has been accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS).

The school is currently seeking an experienced Upper Primary Teacher to join its faculty and contribute to a well-balanced learning environment, which combines the National Curriculum of England with the PYP.

Applicants must hold recognised teaching and educational qualifications from their home country in order to be considered.

Previous teaching experience in their home country is also required, alongside proven experience working specifically with upper primary students.

Candidates should hold at least a bachelor’s degree and demonstrate qualities such as flexibility, adaptability, a strong sense of community, and a student-centred approach to teaching.

While not essential, it would be beneficial for applicants to have prior experience with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.

Additional desirable skills include strong ICT knowledge with applications for learning, familiarity with project-based and inquiry-driven teaching methods, and prior experience in international school settings.

First aid qualifications would also be seen as an advantage.

While prior IB teaching experience is valuable, the more important requirement is the willingness to embrace the cultural diversity of the student body and avoid a mono-cultural approach in the classroom.

The school seeks teachers who can inspire students and foster in them a genuine love of learning.

Teachers at UDIS are expected to be professional, efficient, collaborative team players, and to represent the school positively in all aspects of their work.

UDIS prides itself on being a supportive and welcoming school, where teachers are valued and well cared for, as the wellbeing of teachers is considered essential for delivering high-quality education.

The school provides a competitive salary of 90,000 Baht per month, along with benefits such as a 10–15,000 Baht housing allowance (included in the salary), annual professional development funds, health insurance for up to three school-aged dependents, visa and work permit support, free school places for up to three children, a two-year contract, and one return flight to the home country per contract.

To apply, candidates should email a cover letter and resume to the Head of School, Lindsay Stuart, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The starting date is scheduled for late October but may be negotiated.

Applicants must also be legally able to work in Thailand or be able to provide the necessary documentation required to work legally in the country. Any costs for documentation or related requirements are the applicant’s responsibility.

The school follows the recommendations of the International Task Force on Child Protection and upholds high standards in recruitment with an emphasis on safeguarding children.
