This position is open for the upcoming academic year and offers an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and professional team of educators in a nurturing, student-centered environment. The school is known for fostering creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning among its students. The position is specifically for a Primary 1 Homeroom Teacher, requiring a candidate who can inspire young learners and manage classroom responsibilities with enthusiasm and care. Applicants should be native English speakers from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. A bachelor’s degree in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field is required. Prior experience teaching young children will be considered an advantage, though newly qualified teachers with the right attitude and dedication are welcome to apply. The successful applicant must be ready to begin employment on April 1, 2026, at the start of the new school term. The school seeks teachers who are passionate about early education and who can provide engaging, supportive, and effective instruction in a bilingual environment. A strong sense of responsibility, patience, and cultural awareness will help ensure success in this role. As a Primary 1 Homeroom Teacher, you will be responsible for your class and students throughout the school day, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This full-time position involves teaching a variety of subjects while supporting students’ overall development and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Your teaching duties will include core academic subjects such as English Language, Reading and Writing, Mathematics (using an Open Approach and Math Challenge framework), Science, and Social Studies. In addition, you will incorporate Project-Based Learning (PBL) that integrates information technology and experiential learning to make lessons more dynamic and relevant to real-life situations. The daily schedule will also include classroom routines designed to promote students’ emotional and cognitive growth. These include emotional check-ins, executive function (EF) activities, and sensory exercises to help children develop focus, empathy, and self-regulation. Such practices are essential to Luckwit’s holistic approach to education. Collaboration is a key part of the school culture. You will work closely with both Thai and non-native teachers to plan and coordinate shared lessons, including Art, Music, Life Skills, Sports, and Swimming. This teamwork ensures that students receive a well-rounded education that balances academics, creativity, and physical development. Assessment and evaluation form another important part of the role. Teachers are expected to design, prepare, and review formative and summative assessments such as worksheets, quizzes, and term exams. These assessments should align with the school’s learning objectives and the Ministry of Education (MOE) guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. Teachers will also maintain detailed classroom records, portfolios, and student progress reports. Regular communication with parents is encouraged through conferences, progress updates, and school events to build a strong partnership in supporting student learning and well-being. Participation in meetings, training sessions, and school-wide activities is part of the professional expectations. The position offers a renewable one-year contract, with a probationary period of three to six months, depending on performance. The monthly salary ranges between 40,000 and 55,000 Thai Baht, depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation reflects the school’s commitment to valuing professional educators and supporting their growth. Additional benefits include accident insurance, free lunch on campus, social security for full-time staff, and school holidays in line with the academic calendar. The school also assists in obtaining a Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit after the successful completion of the probation period. This role provides not only professional fulfillment but also the chance to live and work in vibrant Bangkok, surrounded by a rich cultural heritage and a welcoming educational community. |
