| Write or Paste Ad | English Lecturer The Department of Western Languages (English Section) within the Faculty of Archaeology at Silpakorn University is seeking a qualified English Lecturer for its Bachelor’s degree program in English. This position is based at the Wang Tha Phra campus in Bangkok, located opposite the Grand Palace, and is scheduled to begin in June 2026. The successful candidate will teach English communication–focused courses to both English majors and non-majors. The teaching load is 9–12 periods per week, with each period lasting 50 minutes, along with six additional office hours dedicated to administrative duties and student consultation. Applicants must be native English speakers from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand and hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Candidates are required to have a TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certificate from a recognized institution, or documented ESL/EFL teaching experience supported by references, be under 55 years of age, and be available to start work in June 2026. The university offers a one-year contract that may be renewed based on performance and departmental needs, with a one-month salary bonus awarded after successful completion of a second-year contract. The monthly salary is 20,780 THB, with an additional housing allowance of 8,000 THB, along with vacation and sick leave benefits and coverage of work permit fees. The academic year is divided into two semesters, with the first running from July 1 to November 2, 2026, and the second from November 25, 2026, to March 10, 2027. Selected candidates will be invited to participate in a mock teaching demonstration and interview in March 2026. Applicants should submit a resume, certified copies of their degree certificate and transcript, a copy of their passport, and a recent portrait photo taken within the last six months. References will be requested at the interview stage, and a Thai teaching license is not required.
