Dedicated Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO).

Lamai International School (LIS) is a small, nurturing, child-focused school delivering the National Curriculum of England. The school places strong emphasis on holistic learning, mindfulness, and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate SENCO to support students with diverse learning needs. This role is central to ensuring that students receive appropriate, individualized support that enables them to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

The SENCO will work directly with students through one-to-one and small-group sessions, creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that reflect each learner’s strengths and challenges. Student progress will be regularly reviewed, with strategies adapted as needed.

Collaboration is a key part of this role. The SENCO will work closely with homeroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and classroom accommodations, while maintaining open and consistent communication with parents, school leadership, and other stakeholders.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field, along with SEN certification or specialization. A minimum of two years’ experience working with students with additional needs is required, as well as strong knowledge of IEP development, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to inclusive education.
