The successful candidate will primarily work with students in Key Stages 4 and 5, helping them identify academic and career pathways that match their abilities, goals, and interests. Responsibilities include supporting students with university admissions, personal statements, scholarship applications, entrance exams, and understanding higher education systems around the world. The school is seeking someone approachable, organised, and knowledgeable who can communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. The position begins on August 1st, 2026, under an initial two-year contract. Key duties involve guiding students through university and career exploration, advising on international admissions processes, and assisting with applications, interviews, and testing requirements. The counselor will also regularly meet with families, conduct workshops and presentations about higher education opportunities, and maintain professional communication throughout the application journey. In addition to student guidance, the role includes important administrative and partnership responsibilities. The counselor will maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines, and offers while coordinating documents such as transcripts, references, and predicted grades with school staff. Building relationships with universities and admissions representatives is also a major aspect of the role, along with organising university fairs, career events, and staying updated on global admissions trends and developments in higher education. Applicants should hold at least a bachelor’s degree, while qualifications in counselling, careers guidance, or education are considered an advantage. Previous experience in university counselling, secondary education, or career guidance is essential, particularly with international university systems such as those in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia. Strong organisational and communication skills, experience supporting students with interviews and personal statements, and the ability to build trust with families are highly valued. TSI offers a competitive package including a monthly salary of THB 60,000–65,000, health insurance, a contract completion bonus, tuition support for one dependent child, and optional on-campus accommodation. Founded in 1985, TSI International School is one of Bangkok’s earliest international schools and operates as a non-profit institution. Over the past several years, the school has undergone significant growth and improvement, gaining recognition for its strong leadership, supportive community, and commitment to future-focused education. The school recently expanded with a second Primary School campus and continues working toward full CIS accreditation. TSI highlights its welcoming environment, professional autonomy, commitment to staff development, and excellent sports facilities as key reasons for educators to join the community. |
