The position focuses on teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Business Studies and is scheduled to begin in mid to late July 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. Teachers will focus on helping students develop a strong understanding of business concepts, economic reasoning, examination techniques, data analysis, and real-world business applications. The role requires the ability to teach students how to evaluate business decisions, interpret quantitative and qualitative information, and apply theoretical knowledge effectively. The teacher will also prepare students for both internal assessments and external Cambridge examinations, including essays, case studies, and data-response questions. Monitoring and assessing student progress will form an important part of the role, with teachers expected to use assessment data to support differentiation and provide targeted academic assistance where needed. Constructive feedback and consistent academic guidance are also essential expectations of the position. In addition to classroom teaching, the successful applicant will contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, moderation activities, and departmental collaboration. Teachers may also participate in subject-related extracurricular programmes, enrichment activities, or academic competitions that support student learning and engagement beyond the classroom. The school is looking for a teacher who can maintain a disciplined yet stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking, active participation, and academic honesty. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic expectations and student development. Teachers are also expected to follow all school policies related to safeguarding and professional conduct. Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Education, or a related field, along with a recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent certification. Candidates must have at least three years of experience teaching Secondary Business Studies, preferably within an international school or Cambridge curriculum environment. A strong understanding of Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level syllabi, including assessment standards and marking criteria, is highly desirable.
