The school is committed to helping students achieve their full potential through an inquiry-based Cambridge education and is currently advancing its WASC accreditation while expanding its Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. CISB is looking for organized, collaborative, and professionally driven educators to join its growing team. The school currently has openings for two positions: an NES Primary English, Social Studies, and ESL/ELL Homeroom Teacher, responsible for teaching Year 3 to Year 5 English, Year 3 Social Studies, and providing Year 4 ESL/ELL support with a teaching load of 23 hours per week; and an NES Early Years Foundation 1 (F1) Lead Teacher, who will oversee an early childhood classroom and support students' foundational literacy and social development. Female applicants are preferred for the Early Years role. Teachers will be expected to design and deliver lessons based on the Cambridge International Curriculum while incorporating Project-Based Learning methodologies. They will also use the school's centralized online gradebook to conduct both formative and summative assessments and regularly upload student work samples and lesson plans to support the school's WASC accreditation process. Additional responsibilities include implementing the school's positive behavior management policies and restorative practices, conducting parent-teacher conferences, and preparing regular digital newsletters to communicate student progress and classroom activities with families. Applicants must be native English speakers holding passports from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa. Candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or relevant subject areas such as English or History are strongly preferred, along with those who possess experience or a keen interest in Project-Based Learning. The school values teamwork, professionalism, and the ability to meet administrative deadlines consistently. Successful candidates should demonstrate a collaborative attitude and a commitment to contributing positively to the school's academic and organizational goals. CISB offers a 12-month contract running from August to July, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., although most days finish by 3:30 p.m., allowing for an excellent work-life balance.
