It is a full-time, one-year contract based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with a planned start date of September 2026. The position is located at Mill Hill International School, Chiang Mai, Thailand, a British international school that is in the process of establishing itself as a forward-thinking and inclusive learning community. The school aims to provide a rich, creative curriculum where young learners are encouraged to explore their interests and develop across all areas of learning. In this role, the Nursery Teacher will share responsibility with a job-share colleague for supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and overall development. Working within the EYFS framework, the teacher will help create a stimulating and nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and holistic growth. A key part of the job involves planning and delivering an engaging and well-balanced EYFS curriculum tailored to Nursery-aged children. The post holder will also be expected to foster an enabling classroom environment that encourages exploration and child-led learning. Close collaboration with teaching assistants and colleagues will be essential to ensure consistency, creativity, and high-quality learning experiences across the setting. Assessment will be ongoing, with regular observation and recording of children’s progress through learning journals and formative methods. The teacher will provide clear feedback to parents, communicate progress effectively, and help identify appropriate next steps in each child’s learning journey. Pastoral care is a core responsibility, with a strong focus on safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour. The teacher will support children’s emotional and physical development, maintain consistent routines, and respond appropriately to any safeguarding concerns in line with school policy. The role also includes contributing to the wider school community through participation in events, training, INSET sessions, and extracurricular activities. The teacher will help maintain a well-organised learning environment, ensuring both indoor and outdoor spaces support safe, engaging, and purposeful learning. Candidates are expected to hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised qualification, along with strong knowledge of the EYFS framework for 3–4-year-olds. Experience in a Nursery or EYFS setting, particularly within a British or international curriculum, is essential, as well as strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills. In addition, the ideal candidate will be a reflective, enthusiastic, and collaborative practitioner with a child-centred teaching approach. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and all applicants will be subject to enhanced background checks, including references and international child protection screening.
