The position is full-time and offers a monthly salary of 52,000 baht. The successful teacher will provide English language instruction to students who are not native English speakers. Lessons should be engaging and varied, covering key areas of language development including speaking, writing, reading, listening, comprehension, and practical communication skills. The ESL teacher will be responsible for planning and preparing course materials, developing effective lessons, and adapting teaching approaches to meet the different abilities and learning requirements of students. Teachers will also monitor student progress and create individualized learning plans where additional support is needed. Key responsibilities include organizing coursework and learning resources, assessing student performance, preparing reports, following appropriate ESL teaching policies, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. The position involves teaching more than 20 classroom lessons each week. Additional duties include preparing lesson plans through Google Classroom, writing term rubrics, maintaining gradebooks, creating and marking homework, setting student learning targets, and attending staff, departmental, and individual target-setting meetings. Teachers will also be expected to participate in a range of wider school activities. These may include running extracurricular activities, helping organize school events, planning and supervising school trips, participating in Christmas shows, carrying out daily duty responsibilities, and covering classes for absent colleagues. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in a language-related field together with an ESL or TESOL certification. Candidates should also have basic computer skills, preferably including experience with Google Workspace, to complete administrative responsibilities such as maintaining student records and preparing teaching materials. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, adaptable, and an excellent communicator. A good command of spoken and written Russian is considered an advantage. Teachers should also be flexible, as occasional evening or weekend work may be required to accommodate school activities and student needs, and timetables may be adjusted when necessary. At PBISS, ESL teachers are expected to develop individualized educational plans based on students’ needs and monitor their progress through homework, assessments, and regular evaluation. They will also work closely with parents and fellow teachers to build positive relationships and support students in achieving their educational and language-learning goals. |
