| Write or Paste Ad | Native Speakers only. Kasetsart University Laboratory School Multilingual Program (KUSMP) is seeking a full-time English teacher to join its teaching team. The school is located at the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in Chon Buri, approximately 1.5 hours from Bangkok. KUSMP is a Thai school operated under the Faculty of Education at Kasetsart University, one of Thailand’s highly respected universities. The school offers a multilingual education program for students from Grade 1 through Grade 12, serving learners between approximately 5 and 17 years old. The school is currently looking for one enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed full-time English teacher. The main teaching responsibilities will involve Grades 5, 7, and 8, with additional Skill Subject classes for Grades 7 and 10. The successful candidate is expected to be available to start as soon as possible. Applicants must be native English speakers holding a passport from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa. Highly proficient non-native English speakers from European countries may also be considered individually, depending on their qualifications and experience. Candidates must be under 60 years of age and hold at least a bachelor’s degree in any field, although an education-related degree is preferred. The degree and academic transcript must be legalized by the Thai Embassy in the country where the qualification was obtained and subsequently verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or relevant Thai authorities in Bangkok. Applicants should make sure they are able to complete the required document legalization and verification process, or have already completed it. This requirement is mandatory, and applications without properly verified academic documents will not be considered. Candidates must also be able to provide a clean criminal background check and tax documentation if they have previously worked in Thailand. South African and non-native English-speaking applicants are additionally required to provide a TOEIC score. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to Chon Buri and should be comfortable preparing lessons based on the textbooks provided by the school. Teachers will work collaboratively with both Thai and foreign colleagues and are expected to participate in school activities whenever required. Please note that the classrooms at KUSMP do not have air-conditioning, although the teachers’ office is air-conditioned. Previous teaching experience in a Thai school is considered an advantage, particularly experience in formal schools rather than language centers or private tutoring. The starting salary is 42,000 THB per month, with an annual salary increase beginning in the second year. Teachers who enter their second-year contract will also receive one month of paid holiday, while additional benefits include annual medical coverage, school group insurance, and opportunities for professional development. The school provides assistance with visa and work permit arrangements, although applicants are responsible for any additional documentation and travel-related expenses.
