English Homeroom Teacher to join our expanding bilingual school. The school is growing and expects to have teaching opportunities available across different levels. The position is suitable for an experienced teacher who enjoys working in a supportive school environment and wants to live and work in Pattaya.

Applicants must be native English speakers from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland or New Zealand, hold a genuine university degree and have at least two years of teaching experience in Thailand. Preference will be given to candidates with formal teaching qualifications, particularly a degree in Education, PGCE or postgraduate diploma in Education. The successful candidate should also be passionate, energetic, creative and responsible, with a caring approach to working with children.

Phoenix Wittaya School is a well-established bilingual school offering both Thai and English programmes. Located in Pattaya, the school provides access to the attractions and conveniences of city life while also being close to the beach and surrounding areas of natural beauty. Pattaya offers a wide range of cultural and recreational activities, while Bangkok is approximately two hours away by road.

The teacher will be responsible for supporting effective teaching and learning and delivering English lessons covering listening, speaking, reading and writing. Additional subjects will include grammar, mathematics, science and social studies. The regular working schedule is Monday to Friday, from 07:40 to 17:00.

Qualified teachers with a degree in Education or a degree combined with a postgraduate teaching qualification can earn up to 60,000 Baht per month. Candidates without these formal teaching qualifications may receive a lower salary, although the school states that the salary will not be below 50,000 Baht per month.

The school provides free accident insurance covering up to 10,000 Baht, as well as approximately seven weeks of paid vacation allocated at different times throughout the year after successful completion of the probation period. Teachers also receive free Thai lunch at school. In addition, the school offers free admission and tuition for up to two of the teacher's children, although this benefit does not include other educational expenses.

Visa and work permit costs will be reimbursed by the school upon successful completion of the contract, with assistance also provided with the necessary visa documentation. These benefits are intended to support teachers throughout their employment and make the transition into working at the school easier.
