| Write or Paste Ad | Windfield International School on Koh Samui, Thailand, is looking for a qualified and experienced Cambridge Chemistry & Physics Teacher to join its Secondary School. The successful candidate will teach Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level Chemistry and Physics and will also take on responsibilities as a Secondary Homeroom Teacher. The position is available immediately. The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-organised lessons based on the Cambridge International curriculum. Lessons should be carefully planned to meet syllabus requirements while helping students develop strong subject knowledge and prepare effectively for their external examinations. The role includes teaching both Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry and Physics, as well as AS & A Level Chemistry and Physics. Teachers will be expected to use a range of appropriate examination resources, including past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports and effective revision techniques. An important part of the position will be monitoring students' academic progress and attainment. The teacher will maintain accurate assessment records, identify students who require additional support and adapt lessons to accommodate different learning abilities and individual educational needs. The successful applicant will also organise and conduct practical Science activities in a safe and effective manner. Strong classroom management and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to create a positive, focused and student-centred learning environment. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will serve as a Secondary Homeroom Teacher. This will involve supporting students' pastoral needs, monitoring attendance, promoting student wellbeing and maintaining effective communication with students and their families. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Science, Education or a closely related subject. A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, QTS or an equivalent qualification is also required. Candidates should have strong academic knowledge of both Chemistry and Physics, as well as previous experience teaching secondary-level students. Excellent spoken and written English, effective classroom management and strong organisational abilities are expected. Previous experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE and/or AS & A Level curriculum is highly desirable. Experience preparing students for external Cambridge examinations would be a significant advantage and would strengthen an applicant's suitability for the role.
