Another Western Perv Teacher Recruited In Our School!
This is exactly my feeling when I see yet another new teacher starting, another male teacher. Yes, I know, I’m going to get some flak for saying this. Luckily, these types of teachers are in the minority, though. Roughly speaking around 1/3 of male teachers. But let’s face it, even if it’s just 1 out of 3 teachers. It’s still b**** high!
A more realistic ratio of foreign male expatriate teachers to women teachers in Thailand is teaching here is 60% male and 40% female. This is because international schools do attract and recruit a fair number of female teachers with respectable renumeration packages. I don’t have a B.Ed. nor a PGCE. I have a degree in an unrelated field of study :(
Ordinary Thai schools cannot afford to pay high salaries hence the tendency is to hire whoever walks in looking the part, sadly.
The teacher’s room is super tiny. Every single Monday I’m semi forced to listen to male teachers comparing stories of them scoring Thai girls on weekends, with complete disregard of the few female teachers present. We’re after all in the minority, so why care? B***** hell!
It annoys me, it messes up the start of my week. What am I supposed to do, wear ear plugs? Man the f*** up and show us female teachers some respect!
:(
